The Aveling Barford Diesel Roller was introduced in 1963 and was available in a solid orange body colour with either a yellow or orange cab. The roller wheels were silver or green with a variation on the roof top that was orange or black. This model also allowed for the driver window and engine compartment door to open.
Model #279 was issued between 1963-80.
