The Austin 1800 was introduced in 1965 and was available in light or dark blue body colours. This model allowed for the engine and rear hood to open. This was not the first model #171 that Dinky used in their manufacturing identification. The original Dinky #171 model was the Hudson Commodore in 1954.
Model #171 was issued between 1965-68.
