The Hillman Minx Saloon was introduced in 1951 and subsequently renumbered to 154 in 1954.
The early models were available in solid body colours including different shades of green or brown.
Early versions had a large print and support ridges on the baseplate while later versions were made with the traditional flat baseplate.
Model #40f was issued between 1951-53 and Model #154 was issued between 1954-59.
