Alfa Romeo Racing Car


The #8 Alfa Romeo Racing Car was part of the popular racing series issued by Dinky. The Alfa Romeo was introduced in 1953 as model 23f in a red body. The driver was in white and part of the body casting. Some versions also included spun hubs. In 1954, the model was renumbered to 232 until it was eventually renumbered again to model 207 (the model number 232 continued to be displayed on the baseplate) where it was sold in a blister package with plastic hubs. The model numbers 23f and 232 were clearly displayed on the baseplate.

Model #23f was issued between 1953-54, Model #232 was issued between 1954-62 and Model 207 was issued between 1962-64.
